Of Flowers and Sunburns
We have the first official sunburn of the season. Since I don't think ya'll are intersted in a picture of my husbands back, here's a picture of one of the flowers boxes in the front of the house. They have enjoyed the overcast weather of the past week and are showing their brillance.
I don't know how it is there, but here you need to put them in around October. They start to fill in in early spring (like January). Mine got a late start this year. I put them in at the right time, but then it didn't rain until this past month. It was so incredibly dusty, esp. with our dirt drive. Now that it has rained a tiny bit, and we put down gravel, they're really looking up.
~Nancy, I think it was the cats. Last year I didn't plant anything at all in the boxes and so the cats thought that the boxes belonged to them :)
Hi Gracie, Your flowers sure are beautiful. I can't wait to garden. I can't put anything in at the house in Newark until I am sure men are done working on the outside and will not walk on my growing stuff. If I ever learn how to put pix on my blog, I'll put some of the house. Love, Aunt Ruthie

I need to plant some petunias too! But our vegtables are looking good...so far. No bugs yet.
